This Privacy Policy explains how Translyo ("we", "us", "the Service") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use translyo.com. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account data: when you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication identifiers.
Documents you upload: files you submit for translation, processed only to provide the translation.
Usage data: basic logs such as number of translations, file types, language pairs, timestamps, and IP address, used to enforce limits and prevent abuse.
Payment data: handled entirely by our payment processor (Merchant of Record). We never see or store your full card details.

2. How we use your information

To provide and operate the translation service.
To enforce free-tier limits and verify paid subscriptions.
To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or security issues.
To communicate with you about your account or the Service.

3. Document handling and retention

Uploaded documents and their translated outputs are stored only as long as needed to deliver your result and are automatically deleted shortly after processing (typically within a few hours, and no later than 24 hours). We do not use your document contents to train models, and we do not share them with third parties except the translation engine provider strictly to perform the translation you requested.

4. Third-party services

We rely on trusted providers to operate, including a translation/AI API provider, cloud hosting, an authentication/database provider, and a payment processor acting as Merchant of Record. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their function and under their own security and privacy commitments.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions and language preferences. We do not sell your data or use it for cross-site advertising.

6. Your rights

7. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
